Each exercise has a rep range. When you hit the top of the range on every set, the weight goes up next time; until then, you aim for one more rep per set at the same weight. If an exercise stalls for a few sessions, Shark takes a little weight off so you can build back up. Your first weights are estimated from your bodyweight, experience and any related lifts you’ve logged — you can always change them.
No. The schedule is a suggestion. Tap any session on the Train tab to start it today, or use “Train something else”. The rotation simply carries on from whatever you did last.

Sign in with Apple (Progress → Settings) on your old phone so everything is backed up. On the new phone, open Shark, tap “Already have an account? Sign in” and use the same Apple ID. Your sign-in expired — usually after a month without opening the app. Nothing is lost: tap Sign in with Apple on that card, using the same Apple ID, and everything catches up.
Plus adds barcode scanning, nutrition insights (vitamins, minerals and fats), Apple Health import and progress photos. Your programme, coaching, logging, food and weight tracking and backup are free. Go to Progress → Settings → Restore purchases, making sure you’re signed into the App Store with the Apple ID you bought it with. Still stuck? Email us.

Most foods come from USDA FoodData Central, which is lab-analysed. Scanned packaged foods come from Open Food Facts, a crowd-sourced database — check unusual numbers against the label. Foods you create are saved for next time.
Progress → Settings → Delete account and data. This erases your data from the phone and from our servers. It can’t be undone. You can also email us to ask.
